The Fausel Family has continuously operated Placerville Hardware, Inc. for the past 56 years. Located in Downtown Placerville, also known as "Old Hangtown," they have focused on superb customer service as well as maintaining a unique inventory of items. It is the oldest hardware store, west of the Mississippi, and has served the community for over 150 years.

They stock a variety of items such as tools, gold pans, cast iron pans, candles, plumbing/gardening equipment, crystal, western decor, many handy kitchen tools, old fashion toys, fishing poles, oil lanterns, and much much more. Many customers come to this store to find items used to fix broken appliances, sprinklers, furniture, and other household items.
